Did you ever receive a letter you don´t expect?
Did you ever receive something written by the celeb with the autograph you asked?
Did you ever receive something special?

I have my favorite inscriptons: "Thanks for watching," "Thanks for your sweet note" or "Beware the Orcs" are some examples. But I did get a unexpected reply once: I wrote someone and they responded with a very nice autogaphed photo. I sent them a thank you note and then received another photo! I was able to give one of them to my sister.

My unexpected replies include:
Daniel Craig - I sent a letter to him after he started sending out preprints, but he personalised and signed the preprint photo! I have no idea why (but I'm so happy!) and I definitly didn't expect it!
Charlie Cox - I sent my first questionnaire to him (after I received an autographed photo from him months earlier) and he very kindly filled it out, with nice full answers. I love reading through it and it's really special to me, to have had a "conversation" with him!

My most special thing that I recieved was when I sent an e-mail to the Superettan footballclub Ängelholms FF and I recieved a pennon with the players signatures.

i have a few unexpected replies;

Frank McCourt-i wrote him a letter to his house (where he takes fanmail) and told him how much i loved and was inspired by his book Angela's Ashes and he sent me a handwritten personalized letter back! my irish lit teacher freaked out at it!
Daren Kagasoff-i love him as Ricky on Secret Life of the American Teenager. not seeing any feedback, i sent a few kinda crummy pictures to him just in case it didn't work i didn't want to waste money on pictures. well, he replied with personalized and inscribed pictures of his own for me AND my sister.
Ringo Starr-i sent a letter and cd case to an adress just a month before he was going to stop signing and can't believe i really got it back

I wrote to James Nesbitt and received a personalised autograph and a double sided hand written letter by him! It was proper nice of him, he's just great!
I love reading it over and over again =] The good thing is, he put some of his personal life it it, which is nice to hear about from himself!

Ben Foster- Don't remember where i sent to.

the biggest suprise was when i got dan castellanetas autograph i had given up hope for it for quite some time. then out of nowhere i see a sase in my mailbox and its my homer simpson cutout signed and he even filled out my qusteionaire( i didnt have a clue he awnsered qusteions otherwise i woudlve asked more qusteions). and something personal was jennifer stone she wrote me a handwritten lettter and awnsered my qusteions also. shes really sweet and really cute so i was really happy.

Well yes there are some:

Richard Gere responding authentically within a few day from a filmset in Canada! I tried but would never have expected such a great reply and so fast
Kate Winslet signed my 2 pictures authentically. I wrote to her to an Hotel she was staying in Germany while filming "The Reader" in a small village called Goerlitz.
John Travolta WOW, replied authentically "from Paris with Love"

The best thing that I ever got from a celebrity would be when Paul Henning sent me a signed book when all I asked him to do was sign an index card. Very unexpected.
