good awnser.

ya the store i went to was quite reliable. it was also quite expensive thou. and it was really stupid how they sold their autographs, a autographed lauren graham 8x10 was more expensive then a 4x6 signed by both her and alexis bledel. but ya these past couple months everything was half off which is sign a store is going to close.
but ya im still gonna miss it it was awsome.
happy collecting

some of the fun is writing the LOR, sending it in the mailo.....waiting what seems for forever.....and possible not getting a reply....then sending all over again

so i think id just keep sticking to TTM

I personally would not. A lot of these stores are not registered Autograph dealers. I've seen quite a few of these stores at the mall where some signatures were plainly faked. The funniest one i've seen was an Orlando Bloom one in normal handwriting. Not his usual OB or Cursive writing Orlando Bloom. These stores tend to close down because they are caught doing what they're doing.

Nope, I wouldn't.
There's too many fakes floating around that have tainted my perception of autograph dealers.

Also, there's no fun in buying an autograph - it's far more exciting to try chase after it yourself!

I agree 100% with Shambler - to me, too expensive, unsure of authenticy and too impersonal. :neutral: Getting autographs of my favourite actors by myself is much more fun than buying anyways. {thumb2} I love handwriting the letters and unexpectedly receiving my very own autograph from them! {??}

There's nothing wrong with buying autographs, it's just not for me.

Thanks,
zanne

I would never by from these stores. We have a sports memorabilia store at my local mall, and their stuff is fishy at best. On a side note, you always have to be careful whenever you purchase autographs from anybody. A few weeks back I was at the Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale and there were several autograph dealers in the main hall. Only 1 of them seemed to be selling stuff that was legit. Other dealers items were just laughable. Which I had to be careful not to do right in their faces. ;) If you plan on purchasing autographs stick to UACC registered dealers and even then 90% of them occasionally sell fakes.

How about Autograph World? I heard good things about them. I have thought about buying auto's from them that normally I wouldn't be able to obtain TTM and that I wouldn't be able to obtain IP because I live in Chicago.

I normally don't buy from those places due to fakes and insane prices. There is a store near me that does just sports and gets the athletes in for signings. I trust their stuff, but the prices are just through the roof. I can get a lot of these guys TTM, or at the stadiums.
