Time - Etiquette Question

I emailed one of my favorite hosts on the shopping channel QVC back in early December '08. On December 16th, the host emailed me back saying they'd be happy to send out an autographed photo. As of Feb 14th, I haven't received it. Would you say I've waited along enough to assume it's either been lost in the mail or possibly didn't get mailed out? I don't won't to be a pest, but after 2 months, I don't think it's going to come. What do you think is the best way to phrase a follow up email? Thanks for any help.

darkthrone.

Yeah send them another email. It probably either got lost or it just slipped their mind to send one out. Email them back explaining what happened, (you requested a signed picture, received an email back saying one will be sent, you never received it). I'm sure they'll be happy to send you another one!

Thanks very much for your input LeMon and hayley! I'll send another email. Two months seemed like a pretty long time to me, but I didn't want to be pushy.

2 months a long time?? I guess it's all relative, I've waited over 4 years for an autograph..

The two months is mainly for the Post Office to deliver. I've waited a long time for replies that I wasn't sure I'd get back but with this one, the person confirmed they were sending something out. I think either it accidentally didn't get mailed (it would have been around the Christmas holidays which can be hectic) or it was lost in the post. As an example, usually, if something I purchased online doesn't come after a month, it can be considered lost in the mail.

I am also talking about an email success. Sometimes it just takes time.

Yeah it's just the fact that they emailed darkthrone saying one will be sent. Surely if they can email back so quick they wouldn't take 2 months to post it. I don't know though! :)

I've had this happen to me also. I emailed Al Roker and he replied and said an Autographed photo was coming in the mail. That was like 4 months ago and still nothing! I may contact him again and see if maybe he forgot to mail it.

Haha yeah in 2006 I emailed the tv presenter Iain Lee requesting a signed picture and said he would send one out to me as soon as he got some more printed. 3 years later and still no sign of it!
