why dont some celebs like to sign index cards
hey guys i havent sent index cards in all that many of my requests but ive sent about ten index cards out before i got 6 succes out of the 10 people i sent i.c's too which isnt bad at all but only 3 of those 6 signed index cards.the 3 that didnt sign the index card sent their own photo instead and didnt return the index card(2 of them sent only the their own photo signed and one of them signed the other items i sent also), but ya why dont some celebs sign ic's? i figure they would be harder sell then a regular signed photo also.

I'm guessing because they're really plain, and really blah.
I would love to get a celeb's photo intead! =)
And ya, I guess they would think you're trying to get them for all they're worth, even if it is some little index card...

Hi miley cyrus fan
,
I think has something to do with security. I'm not sure but I saw a post that the celeb wrote on the index card that he doesn't sign bank index cards due to security reasons.
I think it was Jeremy Bulloch, not sure though.

Not really sure. Some only sign photos they send and won't return your own.

Re: why dont some celebs like to sign index cards
When I first started collecting I sent out an index card with almost every request (the ones that i didnt have a poster or an advertisement from a magazine to send), and I never got a single one back. Quite glad though because I think a signed picture looks a million times better.

Thanks -Lil1- for the amazing set!
Favourite autographs: Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Paul Daley, Rashad Evans, Chris Leben and Ariel Helwani
Most wanted: Mariah Carey, Michelle Rodriguez, Shania Twain, Michael Bisping, GSP and Dixie Chicks
Re: why dont some celebs like to sign index cards
I've received a few responses back that it's due to security reasons. Then again, a lot of the people I write to, do sign index cards. I always send an index card to be signed, even if I do have a picture. Just my preference.
Personally, I wouldn't be fussed if you didn't get an index card back signed. It's cheap, and something to send if you don't have a picture. It's up to the celeb and or their publicist what the celeb signs or doesn't sign.
I do prefer signed photos, but in the case of a lot of people I write to (MOH recipients, Tuskegee Airmen, Dolittle Raiders, WWII Aces) I don't have photos of them. So an index card works well for me.

well i personally like to send index cards because their cheap and convenient you can go to the drug store and buy a pack of 50 for a dollar and a pack of a hundred for 2 dollars or something like that. but ya i dont mind if a celeb dosent sign it and i think a signed photo is a fair trade but i do like how they look signed, because you can frame them with photos theirs lots of things you can do. but i dont get how its for security reasons that they dont like to sign them?

Is this a serious question?
Signed index cards get mounted with photos and sold for £££/$$$, thats why.
Its possible to make more money with a few signed index cards than it is with signed photos, especially if its done right.
