Here's the autographs. Opinions please :)

As I said in a post several days ago, my sisters and I inherited our late fathers autograph book. When he was a boy, during the years 1941 to 43, he spent summers in Hollywood. He would stake out the studios and restaurants, and get autographs of that period.

Please take a look. Some are scribbles, and others I'm just not up on old movies, so I just don't recognize them. Any help ID'ing them, and opinions of the value of the book, will be greatly appreciated

I gave all your pictures a number. It will be easier that way when someone helps you identify them.

For example I am pretty sure
2 = Glenn Ford.
4 = Charles Coburn
5 = Bill Robinson
7 = Hedy Lamarr
9 = Joe E Brown
11 = Billy Gilbert
15 = Charlie Ruggles

I am a little short on time right now. But I can probably help you identify most of them. I will look at the rest of them later today.

guilder1st, that was mighty kind of you to # them I should've thought about that! And thanx for taking a stab at them. Yes, I recognize a few. Others are neat enough that I could simply google their names. And then there's a percentage that just have the quirks of people signatures. Like the Hedy Lamarr, for instance: If someone didn't recognize that, and was going strictly by the writing, it looks like " ... La Marry" or something, which would be a dead-end in googling.

grobanite19 and anyone else, yes we ultimately plan to sell this. It will be sold as a whole, not parted out page by page (does that sound wise?). After I get as many of the names disciphered (thanx y'all!), I will do this:

I will put it on ebay, with a prompt & link here to this forum. So you will know exactly when it's going to appear. In this way I'm fair to myself, that it's getting market value. And it's hopefully fair to the forum participants because they'll get this advance look now, and know when to check ebay.

Ebay only allows up to 4 photos (if I'm not mistaken), before they add fees for additional photos. So what I'm going to have to do is, invite any outside bidders that they will need to email me for the photos. I do not plan on linking them to this forum. That will also put the forumites here at an advantage, as some persons on ebay perhaps don't go to the bother
