2 weeks ago? if your getting nervous after 2 weeks, you may be in the wrong hobby. some of these successes can take up to 2 years

2 years? dang. i'm not doing it as a hobby. only as a fan. the reason i get nervous is i was always told that writing fan mail bothers the celebs and they are busy. you gert told that enough growing up you get nerved writing a letter. i'm still waiting. got my fingers crossed.

Yeah I've had to wait about 2 years for some successes as well. But it's worth the wait when they do reply. {thumb2} Just keep being patient. And don't believe a thing about celebs hating fanmail......All Rubbish! Tons of celebs love hearing from their fans. Plus without us they wouldn't even be where they are. We buy their movies, books, designer clothes, perfumes ect. why shouldn't they give back to the fans? Now there are cases where a small percentage don't like it, but everyone I've written to has given me wonderful or even unbeleivable successes! :D

If celebrities don't want fanmail then they're in the wrong job! It's all part of the package!
Yes like others have said, responses can take years, if they even come at all!
I wrote to LOTS of people back in 2006 that I never heard back from and highly doubt I ever will. You've just got to realise the risk of sending fanmail and learn not to get your hopes up too much :)

I've been waiting on someone since the end of 2006, almost 3 years now :(
Some celebrities can be reluctant signers, but most do reply when they get to your letter/request

wow thats a long time. celebs can take three years to answer? that seems like forever. i think even worse than not getting your pic back is getting and rts. that sure stinks. its pain when a celeb has like 4 or 5 addresses. its like which one>? that can drive you batty.

That's why I do loads of research on celebs before even sending a request. I'll call Agencies and managers to confirm that I have the correct address, make sure the celeb is still a client, found out if it's best for me to send something to them or just include a SASE ect. ect. Lots of work, but it pays off when you get a success! :D

If a celeb has more than one address you've just got to do a little research and see which addresses have had successes from and which was the most recent.
It's worse if you don't get your CD/DVD cover back, a picture is easy to just print off again. Many times celebrities have kept my pictures that's why I'm so reluctant to send a DVD cover to anyone even though I would really like to.
