Re: Paint Pen Autographs
They should make a transperant/undetectable spray that you can apply for this exact reason. Where you could just mist it over the photo (with out ruining the signature or photo) to protect the signature and photo. If it doesn't exist already, I am going to patent it. Don't you all go stealing my shit!

Re: Paint Pen Autographs
this happened to me, and I put it in a frame for two years straight. Nothing happened to the autograph though! I suggest just re writing though!

Re: Paint Pen Autographs
I'm not saying this would definitely work but might be worth trying (NOT on something precious). You can buy this stuff called Fixative Spray - I know Ghiant do one - it costs about £6 and it says "The fixative spray makes the ink waterproof, smudge-proof and more lightfast".
Re: Paint Pen Autographs
There are many fixative sprays that would work in this instance. I've not used them before but I know many people who have used them to fix pencil/pastel drawings or for shoes which have been painted to protect them from the rain. They would probably work a treat.

Re: Paint Pen Autographs
Its pastel drawing I used mine for, but on the tin it lists loads of uses. It does suggest testing it first though.
Re: Paint Pen Autographs
another thing to use is hair spray, works a treat on matte photos with pant pen, it even stops charcoal drawings from smudging.
