What kinds of photos do you send?

Unread post by missmaexox »

I'm just wondering what kind of photos you send.

Like;
Do you use a photo printer, a regular printer, or get them printed at a store?
Do you use high gloss, glossy, regular, or matte paper?
Do you print 4x6, 8x10, or whatever size the photo is?

I print the photos on a glossy paper with an inkjet printer and it's usually 4x6 but sometimes I'll just use whatever size it prints as. Then I'll cut the photos with a paper cutter {thumb2}.

I'm curious;
What do you guys do?

Hi missmaexox :) !

When I need to print photos, I print them on my home printer. It is a Kodak printer made for printing pictures so they come out pretty good {thumb2} .
I use gloss paper. The size I use is 8.5 x 11 inches.

I use my local Wal-Mart store. I get the matte type finish and almost always have them printed as 4x6's. {thumb2} I've never done 8x10's, too exspensive in my opinion.

i just use regular paper my printer is pretty good quality and the pictures usualy turn out good, their have been a few times they havent turned out great but ive always found other pics to send in those cases. i usualy like to make around a 5x7 collages of the celebs and send those but i do like sending small pics too. and ive said this before regular paper looks fine signed and its much cheaper then photo paper.

I never send photos. I always send an SASE. If there is a specific photo, I get it from a magazine or just print it at home (4x6 but if it's extra large I print 8x10) since I rarely print :)

I print the pics at home! I use A4 glossy paper ( it gives a better color at pics anyway xD)
and i cut them in the middle...I haven't done my research for smaller papers since A4 is all i need...If i want a bigger pic ok...if smaller I just cut it. I'm not a "serious" autograph collector anyway! I just want sth from my fav stars.

Okay so about 2 weeks ago I started sending pics.
I print the pics about a quarter of A4 size, and on regular card (not paper) so it's not floppy or easily bent. This way it fits into my small envelopes! Then I handcut using scissors the card into 4 pictures. I buy packs of 30 pieces of card, so that makes 120 pictures if you do it my way.

I usually send 4X6 or 5X7 but I have done a couple of 8X10s. I get them prefessionally printed at a store near me for really cheap. I choose to send the smaller one because they are less expensive so if they don't come back I haven't lost a lot (cost of photo AND stamps).
