What to say in a letterwhen asking a celeb for an autograph?

I usually can never come up with anything to say to a celebrity when I'm asking for their autograph.

I'm curious as to what everyone sends when they write to a celebrity. Do you just ask politely for an autograph or do you actually send them a letter saying how awesome they are and how much you love their work?

How long do you usually make a letter?

How long do you usually make a letter?
1) I introduce myself
2) I shower them with praise
3) I say my favourite things of theirs
4) I ask for the autograph
5) I give more praise
6) I conclude the letter
7) I give a P.S

I try and make all that around 1 page long.

A letter of request should be no more than a page long. Celebs are busy, and they don't have time to read pages and pages.

It is considered acceptable to talk a bit about yourself, about the celeb & their work, and request an autograph. Write a letter from your heart.

My advice:
Write to a celeb you admire. Don't write to someone just to have an autograph.
