What people think of TTM autographs (and fanmail.biz)?

Hi everyone ,

Just wondering... but what do people you know think about TTM autograph collecting?
For me it is like seventy-thirty. As in 70% of people just assume that all celebrities have someone sign autographs for them and the other 30% say autographs are stupid and just a person's scribble.
I went on Yahoo Answers and looked up fanmail.biz and TTM autographs (because I was extremely bored, and can't think about ideas for poems) and found two questions I thought I'd share .

Q.PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! IS FANMAIL.BIZ A LEGITIMATE OR SCAM SITE?
A.most likely a scam site...
i dont understand why people go for autographs in the 1st place, its just random writing by some person...
autographs depend on the person who signed it, some for $20 while others can go up to a couple of thousand...
autographs are never free...
if u sent something to a celebrity to sign it will probably be ignored.
as i said, site is probably scamming u and if it wasnt then i doubt shipping would be free, let alone the price of an autograph...

Q.When you want to get an autograph over mail?
A.People rarely sign these themselves, it's sometimes their Managers or someone hired to to all tthat GRUNT work. If you want the real Autograph, you have to get it in person.

What? That answers are both ridiculous! Clearly those people have absolutely no clue what is going on and what autographs are. :neutral: And Fanmail.biz a scam site? Please, you can't even buy something here, you just post feedback (with actual proof!). And actually, the majority of celebriies does sign authentically (themselves) TTM - don't tell me the secretarial list is the only celebrities on earth...

Ok, I've calmed down now! Anyways, I can tell you that my family and all of my friends loves my autograph collection. {thumb2} When my cousin saw my Robert Pattinson autograph, she freaked out and asked how I got it. Everyone seems really interested in my collection and love browsing through my display file.

Hey!

This is just disgusting, it's clear, that whoever wrote the answers has no knoledge about autographs, otherwise they couldn't write something like that. Of course there are a few celebs, who don't sign authentically or use PPs etc, but that doesn't mean that every single celebrity does that! If the person is not interested in collecting, why do they even answer?

Well, in my family it's like half and half, my mum seems really interested when I have something in a mailbox, and I even get a few autographs for her, m cousin loves my collection, especially when I get some autos for her, too ,while my brother and dad don't care much. My friends, classmates and so don't either. I'd say a lot of people don't get what is all this hobby good for - and I don't get them . Ever since I discovered such a thing like autograph collecting, I wouldn't be able to give it up, to stop doing that anymore. I'm addicted .

Personally I think those people are idiots who don't know much about fanmail.biz.... If you know what you're doing and send to a current address, you have a good chance with most celebs...Now, there are some that don't sign through the mail, that's true. And a lot use studio fan mail, but I love fanmail.biz, and it's defiantly not a scam site. Those people are ridiculous! And there's nothing even to buy on fanmail.biz?? Clearly they have no idea!

What a load of old codswallop (as my dear departed grandma would say ) I echo what's already been said here, these people have no idea what they're on about! It pains me to hear people talk about autograph collecting like this but on the other hand, it's the reason why we get so many authentics. If everyone loved autographs and were sending out letters to all the celebrities they liked, celebrities wouldn't have enough time to sign! It's a good thing that some people don't like autographs {thumb2}

To answer the other question, I don't actually know anyone who likes my collection. My family only show an interest if I get someone they like and my friends haven't heard of a lot of the people in my collection so I don't talk about it a lot!
My boss is the worst though! She makes fun of me all the time for being celebrity obsessed! She insists on seeing all my photo's when I go to conventions but she just sits there going "Eurgh, why did you pay to meet him?" or "Ooh she's got fat!" To top it all, when I asked for the day off to meet Joan Collins (Yes, the Joan Collins!!!!) her exact words to me were "What? That old has been! Make sure you pull her wig off!"

It annoys me when I read things like this! It's pure ignorance.

My family aren't that interested in my collection. My step-dad said that it's definitely not the celebrity signing them, they don't have time to trawl through loads of letters. He said he would only believe if I showed him firm proof. That annoyed me so much!

They don't know about autographs and aren't willing to take the time to find out.

Well clearly, these people have never been to Fanmail.biz and have never tried to get autographs themselves. A lot of celebrities would actually enjoy signing fanmail, they're all busy and a very few do require money to get their autographs e.g. off the top of my head, only one comes into mind, and that's Buzz Aldrin? If I remember correctly
My family doesn't really know who most of the people I have autographs of are, but they are interested in people they do know. Same goes with my friends, acually I don't really talk much to them about my autographs because there's just so much going on. They are really interested when I get someone they know and like though
Personally, I think fanmail.biz is a great site to get addresses to write to my favorite celebrities. With legit proof provided, everytime I see a success from someone I wrote to, my hopes gets up and I can't wait to get my response, and it's an amazing feeling when I do

Well, my mum is really intrested in my collection (mainly TTM). My brother also has autograph's collection. So, I'm intrested in him collection and he's intrested in mine.
My dad isn't totally interested in my collection. He says that i'm wasting my money. And that autographs aren't authentic. But who cares...

People usually don't believe that celebs send autographs TTM Especially, the most popular celebs.

Fanmail.biz is awesome site. It's amazing.
I always use addresses from this site and I can't imagine my collection without it
