Lined paper or plain?

Unread post by Johnny's Fan »

I was just wondering what type of paper people use when sending requests.

I use plain A4 paper, but because I can't write straight, I drew lines on another blank sheet myself, so I always have it underneath the sheet I'm writing on, and paperclip them together so it doesn't keep moving.

It's probably a complicated way of doing it, but I think it looks better on plain paper... and then they might think I can write really straight! :D

I also used lined paper as i can't write straight for the life of me. Plus i tend to write really big so if there are no lines my writing gets even larger than it normally is!!

Hi! ;-)

I use "plain" paper (not lined). {thumb2} Actually, it's not plain at all, it is this beautiful coloured A5 paper (a writing pad which I buy) with colours like blue, green, yellow, purple, etc. The colours are very light, though, otherwise you won't be able to see the writing! {up} I write in black pen, smallish so I can fit everything I want to say on the A5 paper. {up} I buy a different writing pad every other month, so the paper I write on changes regularly. :) My current one has this lines one it - blue, green, purple - which varies in thickness (it's not lines to write on though!). {??} As Johnny's Fan does, I also put a lined paper underneath the one I write on so everything is neat and straight. :D

Thanks!

I like lined paper because my free hand lines tend to slant. But I also use stationary or decorate the plain paper so it won't feel ordinary.

I discovered a easy way to do this, My handwriting is Terrible too if I don't have a line to follow, and I always like to write my requests on piece of my copier paper letterhead, so I simply put a sheet of lined paper under it and the lines show right through, so I can write all nice and neat. {thumb2} It helps too if the lined paper you buy has dark lines such as black instead of red.

I never used lined paper.
I think it looks too scrappy.
I use plain paper.

Do you all write your requests then?

I use plain paper but I typre my letters. I think I might start to write them to save on ink and to make them that bit more personal.
