Name spelled wrong

Hello everyone!
Now, I'm sure most of our names have been spelled incorrectly by a celebrity, so I'd like to know who has spelled your name wrong? Does it bother you or are you just glad about getting an autograph?

How often does it happen? I've seen countless feedback posted where the member's name has been spelled wrong, so I was just wondering what your thoughts are one this! {thumb2}
Although I have a strange first name, no one has spelled it wrong so far.

But Rob Pattinson came close to adding two z's in my name on the envelope he wrote, but he realised it and scratched it out! {love} Also, Alfred Molina almost made the same mistake as Rob, but realised it soon enough so it's all good!

I don't think I'll mind too much about it, it's not that big of a deal (in my opinion).

I'm just very happy about an authentic autograph!
Thanks!
zanne

Hi zanne!
Great topic!

My first autograph was Meaghan Jette Martin. I just sent an LOR and didnt include my address in the letter. So I guess I wrote really sloppy (my handwriting it usually pretty good) or small because when I received it, my mom had found it in the mailbox. She was very confused on who I wrote to that spelled my name wrong and had no return address. :razz:
My last name was spelled "Alayra" which isn't even close to my last name.

She got the first and last letter right and the y was correct, but there is no l, a , or r.

I know I received a phone call from Savannah Outen and she said my first name wrong (even though I said it over the phone

) But that's another story

The first time I wrote to Barry Cryer he replied to Nicholas instead of Nigel. Most fun was Wendy Craig who wrote back to me dedicating to Anne. In the latter case I imagine Wendy just muddled her replies. I also have items dedicated to my nickname Vern. When I met Don Letts he decided I looked like a Verne not a Vern, so dedicated it to Verne (emphasis on the last e - ie; pronounced Vernee). I also have some where Nigel is spelled Nigle by the signer.

Quite a few celebrities have spelled my name wrong. It has only ever been American celebrities, and it has been ones that I desperately wanted more than any others so it was very disappointing. I'm grateful that they took the time to respond, but it really doesn't feel like the autograph is for me so I can't show it off otherwise it's the first thing people would point out. The two in particular which I am referring to are Andrea Bowen and Dakota Fanning. There have been several others but I can't think at the moment.

I think it's because the most commonly used spelling for Hayley here is "Hailey" and maybe they were in a rush.
On the bright side, you still got them!

Who's spelled my name wrong?? No one!

most of the time I get called 'Brian' instead of 'Ryan', but as far as Autographs go I've never gotten one back that was spelled wrong. There was the case where Scout Taylor-Compton personalized my photo to 'James' which is actually my middle name, but that's about it.

The celebs even spell my last name (Littley) right too! and most of the time when we get our regular mail the addressee just slaughters it every which way.

I can't say I have ever had that problem. My name is unusual (although if you change one letter it becomes more of a known name) but it only has 5 letters so I'd like to think will write it correctly.
I think I would be disappointed if they spelt my name wrong (especially if they change it to the more known name) but if they really messed up, it would be even more unique I suppose!

Hey zanne
My autograph collection is really small right now :razz: but the only one that has spelt my name incorrectly is Andy Murray

He put "Nick" but I don't really mind. I'm just glad he took the time to respond especially as it was an email request

He's so nice to his fans to personalize all of them {thumb2}
Let's hope none of us gets our names spelt wrong anytime soon!
