Hey Jason!

Haha, I always spend ages when writing a letter :mrgreen: . Usually it takes me about one CD (you know, I listen to a CD - usually a soundtrack or a CD of my favourite performer and I write the letter the whole time the CD is playing). So I guess it's in average...about 30 minutes? I have to think a lot when writing because English is not my native language and I want the letter to sound interesting, to be without gramatical mistakes and so on :D . Sometime a letter could take me even a few days when it's a very important letter for me and I don't want to riun my chances by writing a bad letter.

Hi Jason! ;-)

I voted "20 minutes". :)

It actually takes me weeks, even months to think about what I would like to write, and I walk around with all of these ideas in my mind, and then I would spend one afternoon actually writing my letter. :D Even then, I have a few drafts that I first write, and then finally I write my letter that I am sending to the person. {thumb2} Not only that, I like to add a personal touch to my letter, whether that includes a little soft sticker next to my name at the end (a very tiny sticker!) or a little coloured string in the top corner! :mrgreen: So I try to make my letter stand out and I want it to catch the eye! {up}

Thanks!

Thats a really nice idea how you make yours personal. It makes me feel how un personal i am with mine :( Mine only takes me 5 minutes because i have a template i write in every letter i do. The only difference i make is when i write a paragraph at the top which is different to everyone i write to, like when im telling them why i like them etc. I think i will start writing mine a bit more personally, and take more care and time over it. Id love to start to mine to stand out from others as it probably makes you more likely of a response.

Great topic by the way {thumb2}

Thank you for your kind comment, EastendersFan_x! :oops: Yes, the writing of the letter takes me about 20 minutes, but the whole process of decorating the letter (after I've writtent it) and adding the envelope(s), could take me up to 35+ minutes! :) But it's worth it when you get a reply. [ugotmail] I think adding a personal touch to your letter (which is unique) could increase your chances of getting a reply, especially when writing via venue where it's up to the celebrity whether they want to reply or not. {thumb2}

Good luck!!

I voted 5 minutes, because same as Eastendersfan, I have a template.
However, this topic has made me think, so I am now going to try to write individual letters.

I voted 20+
First I make a draft on one paper...I just write down quickly the most important things I'd like to say in letter. After, I try to write a letter on better paper but often happens that I spent around 3 papers before my letter is finished. I wrote 7 letters for Geoffrey Rush before I finally loved one :mrgreen: and sent it out...Sometimes I spend days doing only this. Of course, it also depends how important the celebrity I'm writing to, is to me.
Thanks to Seb for my beautiful set! :)

Favourites: Kellan Lutz!, David Wenham!, Frank W. Abagnale, Tom Felton, Billy Boyd,
Adrien Brody, Channing Tatum, Geoffrey Rush, Robert Pattinson, Ian Somerhalder
Most wanted: Dominic Monaghan, Amanda Bynes, Heath Ledger (RIP)
Last one received: James Franco

20+ Minutes.

I think for a while in advance before I put pen to paper/fingers to keys. It takes me a while to write a letter because I want to put so much in it, I end up adding little snipppets here and there then it runs on far too long so I then have to go back and change it. I really put alot of time and effort into writing the perfect letter.

It takes me a long time to write my letters. I can't usually get them written in less than an hour ever. I handwrite them all and some I can write straight out and my most important ones I type out drafts and then handwrite them up. My main problem is that I write really long letters! I sometimes include handmade cards and sometimes bracelets etc too. :) I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to letter writing and if it isn't of good quality then I won't send it out. Sometimes it can take me several evenings to finish a letter. :lol: I never use a frame, I do of course have a style of writing, but I want my letters to really reflect how much I am a fan of the addressee.
