Hey,

I'm pretty sure they are like UK's first and second class stamps, where they can be used even when the prices go up.

Unlike value stamps, such as 42p etc, because if the price went up to 43p you would be 1p under.

Hence the name "forever", they can be used forever, when prices go up ;)

Hope that clears things up a bit!

Trottersfan said pretty much everything there is to say about it. {up} The only thing I could add is that they are USA stamps so you only need them if you are writing a celebrity in the US.

Currently the forever stamp is worth 0.42. In May it will go up to 0.44 so if you want some now is a good time to get them. {up}

You can use the Forever stamps on any letter or package, you just have to make sure the total cost of the stamps match what is costs to pay.

I am not sure what size 4A is but as long as the envelope is smaller than 8X10(inches) it would be a small envelope which is a minimum of 0.94 (more than 2 Forever stamps). If it is larger it will need at least 1.20 (3 forever stamps).

Hope this helped. {up}
