Star Wars success

Unread post by rocksoldier »

Hello,

Im looking to start sending to Star Wars actors (and related people). Id love to hear who people have had success with and what address they used. I have already gotten James Earl Jones and Matt Wood.

Also, in in the United States, so I was wondering how people handled sending requests to the UK.

Thanks for any help you can give me, it is appreciated.

Jeremy Bulloch is also very good with his fanmail.

Since US stamps won't work outside of the US, and you should always include some kind of return postage, you should include 1 or 2 IRC's (international reply coupon) with your request + a SAE (Self Addressed Envelope). You can get IRC's at most post offices.

thanks for the info. I have heard of the IRC's before and talked to a few people at my post office. they said that IRC's are very rare now (they only had one in that office, and didnt really know how to use it), and there are times where the people who have received them cant use them because the people at there post office have no idea what they are.

Another hint for postage from the UK.
If you can't get any IRC's, there should be a stamp/coin dealer in your town or near you. Try there, ask for 1st or 2nd class stamps. You'll pay pennies over the face value (for example say instead of 74cents, you'll pay 79 or 80 cents) and it's a ton cheaper than getting an IRC. :D

thanks for all the info so far.

i have been sending autograph requests since the first of this year, mostly baseball and hockey players. I have only been sending trading cards (cheaper to get, send and store). what do you guys like to send to the Star Wars people? id like to continue with the trading cards for them too, is there any specific set that you guys like for autographs?

thanks again.

I don't collect Star Wars autographs, so I can't help you there. :) But there are plenty of other members who do collect them, and they'll be able to give you better answers.

All the best with your collecting,

Selise

I send card form the Topps WV (Widevision) prequel sets. {thumb2} I also send my own custom made 4x6 photos as well. If you get time, check out my website which has a lot of my Star Wars successes on there.

Dave Prowse won't answer you and Ewan McGregor I believe also doesn't sign TTM.
