One of my sisters collects and the other one has written a few people, but I am the main "Collector" in my house.

It is nice to share a hobby with them, but they don't do as much as I do and when I get a responce and they haven't heard back from the 1 or 2 they wrote, they get kind of upset. :(

Nope! They sometimes roll their eyes a bit and say 'Oh you didn't get him/her...!' if it's someone they aren't a fan of. But they are intrigued really I'm sure!

Well my sister got me my first ever autograph about 10 years ago (waaay before I started collecting!), but she's never been a collector herself, it was just a one off IP.
I have kind of got my boyfriend into collecting, but he's not up for spending time writing a letter for a celebrity. He just tells me who he really wants and I send off a request for him. I have also sent off for some as a surprise for him that I know he would really want. So he does collect autographs but he's not into it like I am.

It's a huge YES!! for me.

My grandmother started collecting IP Broadway autographs and Playbills in the 1940's/1950's or so (I forget her earliest Playbill). She has tons of Playbills.

My mother is a huge collector, her collection would put mine to shame. My mom's been collecting IP and TTM since the 60's, possibly earlier. She has 3 or 4 bookshelves (5 shelves on each) that are full of binders and photo albums that house her autographs. And my mom got me started, she has one bookshelf (a different one) that is full of signed books.

My dad only collected a few autos when he was alive and a little kid. but he didn't have a "collection" so to speak.

Technically no. When I started I promised to take my collection to my grandmother, as I thought she might be interested in some of the ones I had (the more famous, older actors). I never got around to it, as she was admitted to hospital, and died a few weeks later.

When we cleared out her house, we found 3 or 4 autographs from Emmerdale cast that she had collected. Sadly, no one knows where she got them from. Most were signed on pages ripped from a date diary, and have handwritten dates on them too (from the late 70s). One of them is Frazer Hines, who played Jamie McCrimmon, companion to the First Doctor in Doctor Who, so that has been added to my own collection :)

No, its just myself in my family that collects them, my mum and dad dont get the appeal of autographs and say its just a scribble on a bit of paper, but they mean a lot to me :)

No, I am the only collector.

My family still brings me to book signings and plays so I can get autographs, but that's about it.

I tried to get them into collecting, but it's not their thing.

Yes, my brother also collect autographs. Well, he even starts this hobby in our home, he first gets autograph. But I have more than him now because he collects only sports autographs and he doesn't sent out too many requests now...
