Reward for Extra Effort?

Hello! I would just like to here from ANYONE who has gotten a better-then-usual reply from any celeb,does'nt matter how famous, whether it be extra photo, a letter in return, a special inscription etc, due to extra effort, whether it be in the emotion of the letter, or the artful presentation of it etc. I really like making my letters special, but if the reply will be the same, it's not really worth the effort! Thanks

I have many times received an extra photo or handwritten note, however I don't know if this was due to my letter or simply the kindness of the person I wrote to. I try to make all my letters special and personal and I think everyone should, not in the hope of getting something extra back, but just cause you're writing to them

I've received handwritten notes and a couple autographs back when I've asked for one. I've also had someone send me an autograph from their costar as well as theirs (they even got them to write me a thank you note). When I write letters I just try to be as heartfelt as possible regardless if I'm getting back a PP or something really special. I don't write letters thinking "hmm...if I write it this way, I'll be sure to get something great back." You should just write to them what you think and how they've affected you and if you get something extra back it's because you were honest, not because you wrote what you thought would get you something special. Good luck! {thumb2}

My favorite "extras" over the years:
Anna Faris sent an actual Thank You card when she replied.
Nikki Reed sent a full page hand-written letter in response to mine answering my questions and inviting me to write back. Too bad she didn't give a valid address, because the one I wrote to was a temporary one!
I asked for something inspirational, and Johnny Depp handwrote me a full paragraph out of a book in blue highlighter. This was especially surprising since he so rarely responds authentically.
Catalina Sandino Moreno wrote me a note about how my letter made her feel connected to the outside world because at the time, she was filming in some really small town.
(Obviously, these personal replies are NOT uploaded to my website.)

I've recieved many nice responses. Betty White is always a real "golden girl" to her fans

She sent me a signed photo to me and my pets and a handwritten letter. I really

her so I spent ages on my letter to her so that it was just right. However, I just got standard signed photo's from Bea Arthur & Rue McClanahan and I spent a long time on letters to them too. I think it depends on the kindess and time of the celebrity whether you get a good response or not {thumb2}

I've gotten a lot of really nice replies. I ususally ask the celebrity a question in my letter so I've gotten a lot of responses that way. Here are some of my favourites:
Chris Parnell sent me a 3 page letter answering my questions in great detail and thanked me numerous times for my letter which "made his day". He's one of my favourite comedy actors so it meant a lot to me.
John Tartaglia signed my index card with a wonderful inscription and answered my questions on cool Shrek: The Musical letterhead.
T. Boone Pickens sent me his book "The First Billion is the Hardest" signed and inscribed.
David Sedarissent me a postcard from France with a gorgeous picture on it answering my questions.
Will Forte sent me my index card signed and inscribed, and a cue card used by his character Tim Calhoun live on Saturday Night Live, complete with a coffee stain!
Zach Galifianakissent me my index card with a wacky inscription that said " To Amy, thanks so much for your lovely note. I am rather fond of your homeland. Please kiss it for me, or hug it if you feel uncomfortable kissing a country. Zachary Knight Galifianakis."
