Do you write your age on your letters?

Do you always tell the person you're writing to your age?
Usually, I sign my name and write my age, but I forgot to do so on my last letter and I was wondering what everyone thinks the advantages or disadvantages (if there are any) of writing your age are

I always write my age. My first sentence is usually something like "Hi, my name is Joey and I'm 14 years old." Then I go from there. I don't want to be too formal, but I do not want to be informal. I think it's nice to tell them your age.

Hey Joana!
When I write I always include a little about myself! I tell the celeb how old I am and what my hobbies and interests are!
I think it adds a personal touch to the letter and lets them get to know you a little more.
As far as benefits are concerned I don't think it will increase the chance of getting a success back! It's neither an advantage or disadvantage - It just adds a little more to the letter!

I do the same. I usually write to older stuff (classic rockers, M*A*S*H*, Seinfeld, WKRP) and I think they might like to hear that they have younger fans also.

Well, and...if you are younger, they may feel more inclined to send you something. Also, that's just my opinion!!

I always tell them my age. I don't know why i always include it, it just seems natural. I guess i write them my age so they know a little about me as the writer of the letter.

Yeh, I always say my age. Usually at the begining I just say, hi I'm Danielle, I'm 16 and I'm from the Gold Coast.

I always tell them my age personally. I don't know about the replying if you're younger, but if it's true I have an advantage. (*not disclosing age ahem...)
I like to tell them where I'm from, too. So they know that their fans are all round the globe...
