I dont write to anyone twice unless maybe if its someone i really like and never heard back from i might try again,and i never say im a autograph collector because that would turn most celebs off because they dont feel like its all about them and maybe that your doing it for profit or something.

I've never written that I am an autograph collector because I don't think that sounds like a very polite thing to say. To me that seems to say that I am only after their autograph not that I want their autograph because I am a fan of theirs.

I don't really tend to write to a person more than once. Although if I had waited a long time for a reply and had seen a lot of successes from that person posted then I would consider writing again. I do not think I would reference my previous letter but in all honest I do not see how that would even come up in the letter either.

Hi! ;-)

I never say anything about autograph collecting, because I am not an autograph collector really. :? I merely write to people I am a huge fan of, and it's nice to get a reply. :D So, just write a letter from your heart and tell them anything that you would want them to know: what is your favourite film/album, etc and tell them about yourself (your family, friends, pets, hobbies, etc.). {thumb2} Be honest and polite in your letter, but try to tell them that you're a big admirer of theirs and make your letter stand out, so it is memorable. :)

I also never write to the same person (whom I already got a reply from) again, but I have sent a second letter to "Stardust" actor Charlie Cox to thank him for the autograph he sent me, plus I included a questionnaire (which he kindly filled out). {love} So I would only really send a second letter either to thank them for their reply, or if I haven't received any autograph after 6+ months (depending on who I wrote to).

Good luck!

Hey! 8)
I never tell a celebrity I'm writing to that I am an autograph collector, as I would imagine that might put them off, or make them think I am out to make a profit through their autograph, which I would never do. I only ever write to people I truely admire for whatever reason that may be. Because in my opinion it's pointless having an autograph just for the sake of it really. In my letters, I write a little bit about myself, and then tell the celebrity breifly why I admire them (don't want to bore them!) and then ask politely for the autograph.

Did you seriously just stamp your foot? I thought girls only did that on TV! {??} Jacob Black {??}
A big thank you to -Lil1- for the ah-mazing set! ;-)

I don't mention that I'm an Autograph collector in my letter's. Even though I don't resell them I don't want to give the impression that I'm writing just for an autograph. {thumb2}

Interesting. I have never had a problem mentioning my collecting. I think people respect honesty. 1353 successful replies later, and I do not believe it is a bad policy. Despite being a collector, I am also a fan or admirer of the people I write to, so my letters speak for themselves.

Hi!

I never mention that I am a collector. I think it sounds rude and that the only reason you're writing to the person is for an autograph. I usually just tell them a little about me and what I like about their work. I just rewrote someone recently, and I highly doubt they'll remember I wrote them a year ago, so I just pretty much wrote it like I would any other LOR. I did, however, send them a small gift (a postcard and a key chain from my home state). I basically wrote what I forgot to mention in my first letter and a little more about myself. I hope that helps a little. :D

thank you all guys! {thumb2} i've never mentioned i'm an auto collector either and don't intend to do so :) just wanted to know if there was somebody who does that lol
and as to the second question, it's because i sent only a letter once to Imelda Staunton and she sent a nice picture, but I really wanted a picture of her as Umbridge signed, so that's why I'd like to write her again... so i think i'll wait some more time to resend to her :)
