What to do if you forget who signed your index cards

If you get index cards signed, but forget who they are from after a while, what I do (before I send it) is go onto word document (Or whatever its called for you) and type the celeb's name on size 10 font, times new roman. When it prints, just cut it out, and tape it on the bottom, right-hand corner, 2nd line from the bottom. It looks both cheesy, yet professional. As long as you don't get stupid finger-prints or hair on the tape, its worth it.

Hello,

That's a good tip {up}

I very rarely send index cards as I much prefer the look of a signed picture, but when I do I always decorate the border a little bit and include the celebrities name in the pattern just so I can be 100% sure who it is.
It's a good idea for people who always send index cards to include the celebrities name, or even just their initials, somewhere on the card as I very often see people getting index cards back and not knowing who signed them, or have a collection of unknown index cards that they couldn't identify.

I always send photos/posters with my requests. I have never sent an index card before but I think I might send one with my next request as I think they look really affective signed {love}

I always write the name on the back as soon as I get them in the mail. The only trouble I have is sometimes I'll do sports autos IP and at the end of the day I'll always have one or two that I've forgotten who it is. :lol:

Print their name or a small picture on it. They fit in computer printers.

I quite often send index cards and have hundreds in my collection. I also have a VERY small assortment that I can not identify (4) my method of keeping track is to use a code word / number that I write inside the SASE and log into my word document record of date sent / address used / what sent / what recieved and date recieved.

I believe that this method has been effective for me as I have been collecting for nearly forty years so the average would be about one unidentified signature / card every 10 years. That coupled with well over 5,000 autographs seem to indicate success.

Wow, that's like really high tech, and like a spy!
