Sometimes I receive envelope with uncancelled stamps.
Mostly they were from US.
Why are they uncancelled ?
Celebrity paid other postage ?
Post Office just forgot cancel it?
Or-Are they cancelled with invisible ink ?
As Japanese post office use invisible ink for New year cards
(We send new year cards rather than Christmas cards, by the way).
I've ever heard that those invisible ink can be seen by Black-light.
And also I'd like to know:
Do you guys use those stamps again?

If you drop off your mail at a post office it'll always get cancelled here in the US, but if you just put it in a random mailbox on the streets it's a 50/50 chance in my opinion. Sometimes the mail people will write over the stamps with a marker to cancel, but they won't stamp something over the stamps. I don't know what's up with that.
I do reuse stamps and I'm always very happy when I see that they haven't be cancelled

The ones that don't get cancelled have simply just "slipped" through the system.
I'm a great fan of unfranked stamps myself ;)

Me too!

I use them again but you're not supposed to - although how anyone knows you've done it, I don't know

When I get an envelope I know is a response I am thrilled, when I se the stamps have not been cancelled I am really excited
Just cut the corner part where the stamps are off, and soak them in water overnight. The morning comes and you should have floating stamps, or stamps ready to be pulled off to dry and reuse!!!
I just did all my uncancelled ones and it totaled 26.88$

At least half the mail i get back from california the stamps are unmarked, but from new york or nevada they are always marked its just california for some reason.I cant reuse them though because they are always the self sticking ones and i can never get them off in one piece...

Johnny, do the water thing. It works. ll mine are self sticking. If you let it soak they will either come off themselves or get so loose you can easily pull them off the paper. Just take it slow, or use a tweezers if you feel it's easier. I promise you it works wonders.
And you are right. I never get uncancelled stamps from anywhere but California. Thankfully most celebs are out in Cali

^ They won't stick again. I use a glue stick, but ANY glue works just fine. Put em in tonight before you go to be. Tomorrow around noon take a look. If you are not in a rush wait till tomorrow night. They will be ready and waiting.
