Making Custom Trading cards

Unread post by rittdk01 »

I have seen a few members on here that do there own custom trading cards to either send out or mat an index card behind. I tried Photoshop and Paint pro and couldnt get much success. The text came out looking crappy when I printed the cards.

Is there any templates for this online so I can create my own to put my index cards behind? Im sure this type of thing is easy for some but I stink at it lol. Anything is appeciated.

I use a program called 'Greeting Card Factory Express" very inexpensive, Like $10.00 on ebay last I checked. You can make any size tempate you want and the text and graphics are all vectored, which means no matter how large you make them they don't get blurry or pixelated. I HIGHLY reccomend it. {up} You can also import your own photos and designs as well.

If you want the latest one it's a bit more pricier, but still well worth it.

I don't make my own cards, but I would suggest that you at least check that all your bases covered - that the printer is set to print at it's best quality and not fast/economy/etc and that your image has good DPI. If the text looks "blocky", use antialiasing to smooth it out.
