Im curious to know how many autographs other people are waiting on?

I started collecting in late December and I have a book where I keep a record of all the requests I have sent and the date and address I sent them, I then mark them off when they come back to me.

Tonight I looked in my book and was curious how many I am waiting for, I was surprised to find I have 89 autographs that I am waiting for - I was quite shocked as I hadnt realised I had written that many letters!

i lost count i been collecting sine 2005/2006. i think i might have at least 200 request still out there.

7 since September '09 and including ones from August '08, maybe about 16.

I don't send out as many as others, as there's not too many people I want to write to.

I started heavily collecting (take that as keeping real records) TTM in 1998 - and since then I have 543 requests that I'm still waiting for. I probably won't be getting about 200+ back ever because the people I wrote to have since passed away. But, that leaves about 300 that I do stand a chance, albeit small one, of getting back.

Realistically speaking, I will probably get about 110 or so back, but it never hurts to hope!

I did just send out a large batch that I'll probably get most of back in a relatively short period of time.

Just so you know - a definition of "short wait" changes a bit after you've collected autographs TTM for a while!

I've gotten almost every single thing I sent back. I'm only waiting for 4 things to come back, with the earliest I've sent out being about a month ago.

Since 2007 at least 1,200 just 500 since October of 2009.

I know many are gambles as they are names i am a fan of with no other feedback or names not known to be good TTM signers. To me it's woth the $1 or so loss on the possibility of a big success.

I guess 200 i not so bad for 5 years collecting - are many of those ones of you sent out a long time ago or more reccent?

Wow you have been collecting a long time! You have a lot of requests outstanding!m I hope you get some of them back!

For me right now the shortest time I have waited is a few days the longest is about 4 weeks and I have some I sent is December that I am waiting to hear from but I know that for many celebes, especially those in the USA a short wait might be 8 months lol ! Most of my success so far are UK celebs who get less mail I would think

I'm waiting for 44 Replies (since summer 2008, only a few from 2007!)

You're very lucky! Do you send out many requests?

Thats lots of requests! I agree it is a small outlay for getting a great success. Id never sell my autographs because I like them too much but I have seen some of the autographs I have being sold for good money and I think well it only cost me £1 - £3 to get that autograph! And they look so good in my alum too

I never realised how many people I am actually a fan of until I started this hobby !

How many requests do you think you sent since then? Is 66 a reasonable amount for you? ie say you sent out 400 requests then waiting on 66 is good but if you only sent out 100 requests to start with then the success rate isnt so good
