What is the largest amount of money you've spent on an auto?

I prefer to get all of my autographs IP or TTM, but recently I have been purchasing a few (very few... you can't trust many sellers!!!)
So, what is the largest amount of money you've spent on an autograph? For me it was $70, but it was totally worth it (authentic Ringo Starr).

met Bill Russell (the famous basketball player for the Celtics) in November at a autograph/card show and they weren't allowing pictures to be taken...but i brought a book i had of his which they considered a flat item...this price was $179...i don't spend that much that often but for him i did because i didnt know the next time he'd do a signing in the Boston area (this was his first career autograph show signing)...on average though i spend around $50 when i go to these type of things

$500 for Babe Ruth. That was in the mid-90's.

A little over $1400 for an authentic Walt Disney autograph. It is one of my most favorites over all and I am very pleased with my purchase

around $100 for a vc autographed raptors jersey... i usually dont pay for auto's so it was a rare purchase

I've been pretty lucky about not having to spend a ton on my collection. The priciest item was probably The Big Hurt Frank Thomas did a signing and I got a OMLB and a Topps RC signed for like $70 bucks. Well worth it to me as he's my all-time favorite player.
