Do you look and see where your fanmail is going?

A bit of a strange question, but now with Google Streetview it's incredibly easy to see where the fan mail you send is going. Have you ever looked up the address on it out of curiosity?

Not for normal agency addresses, but for production offices via venue for film sets, yes! I usually do that to see if it's a correct address to send to and so on, and usually I'll find a building specially for films, like a studio in which they film!

I don't look on Google maps, but I do check all my addresses on the White Pages and USPS web sites (in that order) to make sure I have a legitimate address and that it is a deliverable address. Some people do make mistakes in reporting addresses, or are sloppy with their typing. And every once in a while someone will post a fake address. It has saved me some grief a few times.

I have done this once when I wanted to see the NCIS production office (where I had sent two letters). I thought it was pretty cool to see where my mail would be sent.

I found some address for Marilyn Manson a few months ago, checked it in streetview and sure enough that address doesn't even exist, much less does Manson live there. Then a few weeks leter, a RTS appeared on there and I sorta laughed

I have actually, quite a few times, just out of curiosity. I have felt bad for the postman there though, some of the places were right out in the middle of nowhere :razz:
