I have been 5 months without anything, sending 30 requests out this summer... I think the mail mans taking all my autographs home with him...haha

5 months is a long time!!! My sympathies. I don't think I have ever had a dry spell THAT long! I hope you get something REALLY GOOD soon.

I feel your pain. I'm getting an autograph about once every three weeks, which is pretty bad compared to how well I was doing last winter (1-2 a week). I've got 77 requests out. I can't write any more because I don't have anyone else I'm currently interested in writing. I refuse to write to people just because I should have them in my collection, you know? So at this point I can't increase my likelihood of getting more responses by sending out more requests. Oh, well. Fingers crossed things pick up.

same here, but my last success was on march most of the letters i wrote last year and havent heard anything back when others do, not sure if someone is stealing my mail, or people i wrote didnt liked me

Isn't it funny, I said to my wife, all my photos I have received in the last month everyone has come from the UK(where I live) but had none back from Europe and America. I said to her my postman is taking all my American photos home with him !

Don't forget the more you write the more replies you get!

I am waiting for over 500 requests to come back.

This hobby of ours takes patience, but exciting when they arrive.

I havn't received anything in almost 3 weeks and i thought that was bad,it's just before this 3 week dry spell i was getting back at least 2 per week for about 3 weeks so i guess i got spoiled. It's funny everyone always thinks the mailman is stealing them,i always think its the mailman or the people sorting the mail,lol I actually went to a diff city and mailed myself a large photo envelope just to see and i got it so i guess i was being paranoid,lol Anyone who thinks their mail might be getting stolen try sending yourself a envelope and write photo please do not bend on it and mail it from a diff city and see if you get it,it's a good test.

Hey, thanks for all of your support! As crazy as it sounds, when one is so dedicated to a hobby, you cant help but feel disappointed when you haven't received anything. I had a great number of requests out too. I'm glad all you guys can relate.

P.S. It has always crossed my mind that the mail man has been taking all of my autograph photos and hanging them on his wall at home... haha

yea thats true, I wonder how much mail gets stolen yearly?

oh and for the update. I'm still going without a success!
