Ever sent a celeb a drawing to sign?

Back in '99/2000, I sent drawings I had done myself for a few voice actors to sign. Anyone ever done that? This was before it was easy to get printed out pictures of practically everything. I got Orson Bean from the Hobbit and Tony Jay from ReBoot that way, and here's my favorite: Alan Oppenheimer, the voice of Skeletor. I love his inscription! (not high art, I know! You can see I had trouble with one of the arms.)



I was just curious if any else ever sent their own art for actors to autograph.

I have boxes of drawings here and I just sent out some of them recently. Hope I'll get them back soon.

I drew a bunch of things for an illustrator I had written to with a request for a sketch. I think it's only fair and polite that if I ask an artist to go to the trouble of drawing something for me, I should put in the effort, too.

It paid off big time.
