meeting baseball players

Unread post by carlyscala »

I'm going to be going to the Cleveland/new york game next tuesday and I was wondering where the prime location for meeting it away team was at in cleveland. I realize its a long shot but it would be easier than at yankee stadium. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I thought I'd give it a go! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Im not familiar with that specific stadium but I know at Turner Field (braves) the away team unloads the buss and the players have to walk into the stadium. Find out where the away locker room is and try to find the entrance from the outside to it and wait their. Maybe you could just arrive early and see where people are waiting, if it is the yankees, im pretty sure others will be there too. Sorry I couldn't offer much help!

Noooo thank you for your input :) I really appreciate it! We will definitely go early. I live in WV so its not too far and since its a night game we won't have to go at like 9AM hahaha

I have never graphed in Cleveland either, but have in other places. I can tell you this: No team draws more autograph seekers than the Yankees, with the Red Sox being a close second. I would do my best to get there early, around 12:00 noon (for an evening game) and try to find out where the visiting players' entrance is. Try to get the best position that you can near the entrance and be prepared for a huge crowd of pushing and rude graphers. Hate to put it that way but it's best to be prepared. If you are lucky you might be able to ask one of the personel working at that entrance for the protocol of seeking autographs. I did that in Pittsburgh once and it paid off. Good luck!

I've been to Cleveland stadium but got there too late to do any autographing. It looks like the players parking lot is right on the main street with a seperate entrance. Not sure where they drop off the visiting players.

Thanks so much everyone! I've never collected baseball autographs because I only go to NY once a year and its too tough to try there, so I'm really trying here!
