what started you autograph collecting??
share how you started collecting

I started collecting IP very young. I went to an American Idol concert and got to meet my favorite Idols and got all of their autographs. Thats what got me started in autograph collecting.

For TTM autograph collecting it again has to do with Idol. My friend Maria told me the fanmail address for the Idol studios and I decided to send Aaron Kelly a birthday card and request an autograph. That was my first success and thats when the obsession began haha

My friend told me about all this and how you could get autographs easily, so I started.

Oh and this topic's gonna either be deleted or moved because it's in the feedback section.

I used to read Tiger Beat magazines, and their is a spot for Disney Channel stars addressess and i mailed out some fanmail, and i got a couple of replies. ever since then ive been collecting

My husband was working on a security detail for the Bushes (Daddy, Barbara, W, and Laura) and they volunteered to have pic taken and sign them. So after that I thought I would start collecting others. It's been quite fun

I don't really know, I just got it in my head one day to start writing to theatre people and asking for autographs (I was a big musical nerd as a kid, still am), and then branched out to the Buffy cast and a few other people as an older teen. Then I left it alone until 2005 when I found this site and got back into it in a big way. I'm not sure what renewed the interest...I think I just missed the thrill of the chase
