Hi guys I've been thinking about writing to the rapper Lil' Wayne in prison as many people have had success recently. I'm a fan of his music but I just want to be assured by some of you if it safe to write to a prison. I trust him and all, I just don't want my address/letter to get into the wrong hands. Thanks!

Well I think there's always a chance of another prisoner getting the address and sending stuff to you....but I don't think the risk is high. Nobody is going to like, show up at your house. I personally wouldn't take the chance because I'd feel uncomfortable with it.

I say it isn't too unsafe. I got a great success from him there, too. Good luck.

Sending to a prison is something I would not do. I've heard way too many stories about the addresses getting passed around. Someone on this board wrote in a post that he sent to a prison and was getting so much mail from random inmates and that it was still coming in years later.

i would not write to prisoner u never who will get your mail.

If you decide to write to a prison, I would advise you to be very careful. You never know whose hands your address could get into.

If you're gonna do it, give a work address or a P.O. return address.

yea sounds pretty sketchy to me. Personally I wouldn't do it. You never know, a inmate could keep your address and show up to your door... Always a possibility

I agree, i wouldn't send it. There's a reason why everyone's in that jail. ya never know.
