Postage: USA to UK? How Many Dollars?

Would any of you American members be able to tell me roughly how much postage is the UK? I have contacted a celeb who has agreed to send me an autograph, and I said I would cover all postage costs back to me in the UK.

He said it was fine to send dollars - which I can get at my local Post Office - but how much!?

It's only for an A5 envelope with a photo inside?

If anyone can help, I'd be very grateul.

I have sent a large envelope to the UK from the US for just over $2. It was heavier than just a photo (I think I added cardboard), but I'm pretty sure two dollars should cover it--three if you want to be sure to cover all the costs.

The most I've spent on sending to the UK (for a 9x12 envelope with a 9x12 folded inside, plus photos and letter) is $2.98.
