She's asking people to donate to a charity for her birthday:
http://mycharitywater.org/kristenbell
And she's said on twitter:
Ok here goes. Donate $30
(or more) at
http://mycharitywater.org/p/campaign?campaign_id=5269
& put ur @Twitter
handle in the comments bar. I promise I will tweet each person a pic showing u how thankful i am u donated. Deal? I'll be fully clothed in the photo so don't get too excited. Unless u donate like 100k. And even then I might only have one boob out. But we'll see. Clean water rocks. Xoxo
and
due 2 lots of requests, give $100 & ull get a signed pic. @handle in the comments box & ill direct mssg u 2 get ur addy
She's also said:
if you give 1 million you ABSOLUTELY get a date. I am a slut for clean water.
So there is that option for an autograph... or more, but that's up to you.
It expires in less than two weeks, so act fast.

While this is great for charity, it is a bummer for me, as I just sent to her vv, and I simply cannot afford the donations she mentioned!

Oh really? So buying merchandise that the money raised goes to charity, is counted as a charitable donation? That is very interesting

The donation might not be tax deductible. The value of the autograph has to be considered against the amount of money donated. So if you send $30.00 and the value of the autograph is, say, $30.00 then it is a wash and there can be no tax deduction legally taken.

It's a bummer for me, too. I sent a Topps trading card to her agency last winter not knowing she wants money in the form of a donation. While that amount is something I could afford by saving up, I don't think her autograph is worth that much to me. The bummer part is that I was trying to get the cast of Heroes. Oh, well...

It really is a shame. I'd be willing to spend $100 for an authentic Kristen autograph AND for her good cause... But my mom seems to think otherwise

I sent to her VV at Gossip Girl as well. Guess I'm not getting anything back from that then.

I've heard that she hangs around the set sometimes though to talk to hang out with the cast. You never know when she'll pop by and sort through her fan mail :p

$100? Sheesh! I know its for a great cause, but she'd be lucky if people donated $5 each! She'd make more money offering an autograph for less!
