I trust the agencies. It would be hard to get a celebs actual address because of privacy issues, so I think it's safest for hte celebs to recieve fanmail from their agents.

Isn't it illegal for the agencies to open letters that aren't addressed to them?

I doubt it's illegal - one of my duties at work is opening my boss' mail, unless it's addressed private and confidential. A thought there, i suppose...

I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying :? Of course celebrities get our letters (well, at least some). Otherwise, how would anybody get any responses? Agencies forward/give the letters to the celebrities (that is, if it's the right agency!).

Never mind, now that I think about it I doubt it's illlegal, but if the letter is addressed to the celeb the agent is probably not supposed to throw it away or anything without the celebs permission.

I think most agencies open the letter to make sure it is appropriate before passing them on to the celebrity

That's a good assumption.

I guess the only way to find out for sure is to ask a celebrity themselves!

Joey :)
