What's Going To Happen To Your Collection When You're Gone?

I don't know if this is too morbid or not lol but it is something that I've thought about. When you are gone from this world do you have any plans for your autograph collection?
Are you leaving it to anybody?
Are you leaving instructions for what relatives / friends should do with them?
Are you keeping a list for somebody to find telling if it's signed IP, how much it should be worth etc...
Do you simply not care what happens to it?
Have you given this any thought yourself?

I have thought about this actually lol I won't be dead for a long time but i always feel nobody i know or love will share my passion or care about them so i will either leave them to a family member or if nobody cares about them i will probably sell them when i get old so that a true collector or fan can enjoy them because thats better than leaving them to a family member who will sell them for nothing at a garage sale or something lol Or who knows maybe ill just burn em all before i die and go out in a blaze of glory haha Like the requests i send out the future of what happens with them is yet unknown and always unpredictable...

Lol I don't know how old the op is,but it seems a tad over wrought to even contemplate this if you are umder, say, 50. I would probably just leave it to grandchildren.

I'm 25.
lol, I don't know I was just thinking. Lots of other serious collectors for various things have plans for when they are dead so I was wondering what anyone else had planned to do, if you had thought about it before.

The autographs we have will be worth allot in 60 years, when all the celebrities die, so I'll auction them off, so I can get an awesome coffin at my funeral.
No joking aside, I'll try and kindle my grandchildren into liking the hobby, if they seem un interested, I'll find a enthusiast, and help them on there way to getting a great collection...

I'm 25. I haven't thought about it yet, but I do have instructions for various other things (i.e. my pension etc). I will think about it when I discover if someone I know has an interest too, or maybe if I have children.

I liked whoever posted "Burn them" because that is the best thing to do really. As for staying in the family, now days you cant trust family because they are only after money anyways. and in my family my brothers or sisters would sell them just for the fun of it.
I have an idea of locking them all in a big safe and digging a hole somewhere and burying the safe so nobody would sell them, leaving a note with them that said: "If found and sold, I will come haunt you"
Nobody will enjoy them like you once did. its a big part of that persons life and others dont understand that. If I died before my time, my wife would just throw them away. I would like them to go to my parents. Screw my brothers and sisters, they are out for money.
Its tough to answer or really know, because we dont know when we are going to die!!

They will go to the same place everyhting else in my house is going; the landfill. Nobody really cares about my collection, family included, and whoever buys/inherits my house will just gut all the furniture and belongings to do the house how they want it.
I even told my parents I created a database with all my autographs with the dates sent/recieved; and the current "value" so they can sell it to pay for the funeral. She said the same thing I feel "I hate to say this, but your sttuff is going the same place all my stuff is, the trash".
It's funny how many members are on here and all the other autograph sites, but almost all of us know very few people in our day to day interactions that care about autographs. Infact the ONLY people I know who care are friends I made from graphing.

I've always imagined myself growing old and giving my collection to some kid who lives near me that I befriended or something, lol. But honestly, I have no idea! Someone'll probably sell them or something. I don't know. I can't take 'em with me! (Sadly!)
