Whenever I look at this site, all I usually see is people posting about celebs like actors, actresses, etc. that I have never heard of before. I only collect sport-based autos. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there like me or if I'm the only one?

I like to get old-time sports figures.

I could actually count athletes as celebrities, and there are a lot of people here who collect them here. They are certainly even more niche collectors than sports.

I agree, certainly some athletes are as big a celebrity as singers, actors etc

I meant "would" count them as celebrities, not "could", and that "there" are more niche autographs, not "they".

I've been collecting sport autographs from 1993. Mainly in baseball but also basketball, football, soccer and wrestling. I just started to collect actors maybe 3 years ago and never looked back. Its a fun hobby that I don't see stopping anytime soon.

I don't collect sports figures; I have received autographs from tv chefs and judges, though.

Well, what some of you may have with not knowing who a certain actor/actress is (like for example mine, since I mainly collect German Actors/Actresses, that are not known over the world), we that collect actors/actresses may also have that with sports autograph successes that are being placed. I certainly don't know most of them, but I think it's just the branch you are in with collecting (for example: sports, celebs, combined). One may collect Sports autographs and don't know some actors/actresses and the other way round

It's not a bad thing and you certainly shouldn't feel like you are the only one! Everyone has there main collecting subject which they know most people of

I collect everything.
Actors, actresses, politicians, but most of the time music autos.
But not such as Lady Gaga..., I collect (or try to collect) music legends.
