TTM sports autographs: send during season or off-season?

In your personal experience, would you say it's better to send things TTM during the season or in the off-season?
Which is usually quicker/better chances of success?
Currently it's Football & Hockey season, should I focus more on sending to football & hockey players TTM or should I be focusing on baseball (off-season)?

I prefer inseason, since you can send to the team addresses and know they will get them. off season, you never know when of if they will get it

a few people on here that have sent to Drew Brees said that they asked him when is the best time to send fanmail to him and make sure he gets it and he said Aug. and Sept. so I'm not sure if it's the same for all

you can send c/o the team during the offseason and get replies to some people (not all) as sometimes they check in to work out/practice etc.
for baseball, you really don't have to wait that long for spring training... and sending in the offseason may mean less fanmail so you might have a good chance at getting something back.
a LOT of people don't respond to mail, but the ones that do i'm sure would get it no matter when you send as long as they are still apart of the same team.
drew brees if im not mistaken only signed preseason... once the season started everyone started getting preprints
