Hey whats up? I have been waiting over 6 months for these signers to get back to me. No big deal.
I am just curious what your opinions are of me ever getting any back, should I stop looking forward to seeing them??

Well I've had to wait years for several of my successes to come back. I've not seen Anna Paquin reply authentically, but only through Celebrity Merchandise which is a pre-print.

The other names I have no clue on. you did send photos and a SASE with each one correct??

My reply from Sophia took 2 months (early 2009), but at the time I knew she was in the country. I have no idea where she is residing at the moment, and may well be abroad filming. 6 months is nothing in the autograph world. Have patience

You should always check their feedback at the address you're sending to before you send it, or even write the LOR.

... and then I'd send the letter anyway, (but I'm an ornery cuss...)

If I really care about someone enough I'll write the letter regardless and if I get anything back then it's a bonus.

I wouldn't bother doing it with huge megastars who have a reputation for not signing, (who wouldn't even get sight of any letter in the first place), but as on the whole I tend to write to character actors and musicians rather than Hollywood legends,

I've had some successes where others have had multiple failures, I'm still waiting on some where it seems that everyone else has guaranteed successes. I don't think that's unusual in this game, and for the sake of the price of a lottery ticket to send to someone and more chance of a return, I'm not really fussed about a few failures.

It can take that long or longer. I just got back a request I sent over a year and half ago. That being said after 6 months. I contact the agent to see if the actor/actress is still with them. I have had a few that were not with the agency anymore. I found the new agent and resent and got a response back. Sometimes the mail or item just gets lost. I just got a reply back from Peter Serafinowicz. I had sent him about 4 or 5 months ago. Tried again with another of his agents. Got a reply back quick with a note apologizing that he did get my first reply...but, lost it.

I have quite a few requests that are 6 months old.
