I know that normal pp don't count as a technical succsess but, what if you get it from SFM? Wouldn't that make it different because it was free and such?!? I was wondering because I'm getting a couple of pp for Christmas and was thinking about how I should count them. Thanks guys

It all depends on the collector. I count them as a success and autograph, but label them under my 'Pre-print & Auto-pen' section. {up} The only thing I don't count is those signatures that come in the Teen magazines on those huge mega posters.

Technically, no it's not an autograph and does not count as one. But to each his own.

Personally, I only count an autograph as an autograph if the actual person's pen has touched the paper and written the autograph themselves.

I don't personaly class pre-prints as proper autographs but I do however count them as part of my collection. Also I would still count them as a success because at least you are getting something back and it is therefore technically not a failure.

I think of them as success (Lame Success) because all though the person didn't actually write on the photo it is their signature. But It does depend on the collector though . I got two SFM success today (Christian Slater and Seth Green) and I'm counting them as successes

Like here on the forum when posting feedback? Then yeah, you wrote to them and got something, the addy works so I guess that counts as a success here.

Among collectors - like when selling and trading - it depends, but it does not have much value, if it is not rare collectible. Not like SFM then.

If it is success when it comes to your collection, that is your own decision if you like them or not. {up}
