Stars who charge for autographs.

I have no problem with stars charging if they want to and i dont care if it goes to charity or themselves,its their likeness and autograph so they can do as they choose with it. I just personally would not pay more than 20 dollars maximum for one depending on who it is with 20 being max. I dont exactly think they are doing it to make money because they have to supply the photo and envelope when you purchase it from their websites and with most charging between 10 and 20 bucks they arent making alot of profit unless they sell a huge amount of photos which is unlikely.So i have no problem with it because the average request costs me at least 5 dollars for postage envelopes and pictures without knowing if i will even get anything back so its worth it to buy them sometimes

I agree with the $20. Maybe $5 or $10 with your item and sase sent or $15-$20 if they supply the photo and mail it out.

Tricia Helfer charges less than $20 for her signed photos and that mailing out from Canada to the US. Shes a main character on one of the biggest sci fi shows of all time so if she can do it affordably anyone can. And her money goes to an animal charity as well.

lol I spoke too soon. She now charges $20 for personalized photo or $30 if u want a special message or quote as well. Used to be $16 for a signed photo, $20 for personalized or $25 for a special message.

Yeah but it makes the celeb look bad and makes real fans turn away when they charge that much to sign. Its a slap in the face since the fans keep the actor in business going to their movies and spending their money on tv and movie merch.

hayden panettiere for $60 is CRAZY. and saying the money is going to charity makes it just as bad. Wouldnt Hayden want to charge $20 and get 10 times as many people to buy pictures for her charity instead of a few crazies willing to put down $60? And the "charity" bit makes me snicker too.
Many of these celebs and companies give only 5% or whatever they are required by law to donate since they sold the items in the name of a charity and they keep the rest.

I always wonder how much actually goes to charity also.Another thing is some people on here claim to have successes to be auctioned for a charity but i often wonder if its not just a ploy/tactic they use in their letters to manipulate the celebs into signing so they can sell the autos and keep the money. Who knows but i never trust "Charity" stories.
