The translation sites on the internet aren't 100% accurate, but they're a good starting point.

I studied Italian a while ago, and used some of the online translation sites. They didn't quite give me exactly what I needed, and I had to go over it and correct the mistakes (some parts didn't quite make sense).

If you do use an internet translation site such as the one mentioned by harrylare, TRY to have it looked over by someone who does know the language for any errors.

Good luck with your collecting :)

I lived in Italy for 3 years and yes I do agree with nowandagain that transaltion sites might not be as accurate but trust me I was in Northern Italy, Southern Italy and in Sicily you would be amazed at the different dialect between the 3 regions. When everythings said and done regardless of what minor mistakes are made during translation I know for a fact The Italian people look past that and appreciate the attempt.
