Making and selling custom photos/posers for you...

Unread post by hockeyfan1994 »

I'm starting to get into making custom posters for myself when I go out for in person signings. I primarily do sports athletes (past and present), but I have done musicians, and actors before. You can see some of my samples below.

It started out as a hobby and a friend liked them so much that he now has me making posters for him. I would love to offer this for free to both him and anyone else interested, but there is no way that I could do that. Each poster from brainstorming to finished product can take up to 3-5 hours.

With work and a family, my free time is limited and special as well as I'm sure all of yours is to you.

I charge $15.00 + s&h and cost of printing (Sam's clubs prices). I can do any size from 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20. All ones that you see below were done at 16x20 (reduced down to fit on forum). a 16x20 at sams runs $7.00 where as a 8x10 costs $1.60. My cost will always stay the same ($15.00), the printing price will depend on what size you want.

If you are interested send me a pm. If you have ideas for what you want on your photo/poster let me know.

Sweet looking posters! Great work! Prices seem very reasonable. At 5 hrs work that's really only $7 an hour.

Question though, if a buyer wants to print it themselves, are you able to email the image and receive the $15 payment by PayPal or direct deposit for your design efforts?

If it takes me 5 hours worth of work and I'm only getting $15.00 that would be $3.00/hr.

To answer your question yes, I would be able to email them to you depending on size. I'd have to test it out. Worst case I can put it on a CD or something and get it to you.

Sorry I was allowing for 3-5hours work + printing & postage (the latter two I know are expenses not payment persay) to suggest that even at a most expensive consideration (of quicker design time and inclusive of production expenses), you are good value. And emailing them makes it even more economical!
