Astronaut collecting

Hi, i want to start an astronaut collection but i have no idea where to begin.
I love astronauts so i would write to any of them
I want to get my collection up and running as soon as possible so please could someone tell me who is nicest to fans, who i should maybe start of with and who is the quickest to reply because like i say i want to get my collection up and running as soon as possible
