SASE Question

Hi everyone,

I have question for you all. I have sent 7 autograph requests including a LOR and SASE in the beginning of the year, and I have only received a response from one (Valerie Bertinelli). I am well aware that it could take years and years to receive a response, but most of the people I sent to respond in no later than a month (Barbara Eden, for example). I don't know what's up - I was thinking I might not have used enough postage (I put two stamps on both envelopes when sending a SASE). Is that not enough? It was for Valerie Betinelli - I don't remember if she paid extra or not. (If so, THANK YOU MS. BERTINELLI!). I would just like a little help - how many stamps should I put on both the outside and inside envelope when sending a SASE? (Also, how many stamps on the inside and outside envelope when sending just LOR and SASE, as well as LOR, SASE, and Picture). Any help would be deeply appreciated! Thank you all! {up} :)

hey There! It depends on the Size of Envelope you use as your SASE and what the weight is going to be for it. What size envelopes do you use? And on your SASE..besides you putting your address in the center, what do you write on the top left corner? your address again or nothing?

I sometimes put a 9x12 in a 10x13, or, if I don't have any 10x13s, I put a 9x12 in a 9x12 (or, 10x13 in 10x13). On the outside envelope, I put the celebrity's name and address (as well as my return address) and on the inside envelope, I write my name and address, no return addresses EVER. If they write their return address that's fine, but none of my SASE responses ever have. Thanks for your response...Hopefully this helps...even though you're helping me! ;-)

I always use the same amount of postage on the return envelope as I do on the one to mail it out. If I am unsure how much that is, I have the post office weigh it and quote me a price.

Forever stamps are nice too since they are always valued at whatever the curent rate for a first class stamp is no matter when you bought them.
