How many stamps should I put on a SASE?

I'm sending an SASE and I want to know how many stamps that I should put on it. I know the person that I'm writing to sends back an 8x10 photo.

i put two if im not sending anything for them to singed but if i send a photo i put at least three on them .

Which country are you in, and which country are you sending to?

If you're in the UK and they are in the UK, a 1st or 2nd class large letter stamp will get it back to you.

If you are in the US and you are sending it to a US address I always use this method

- SASE returning 4x6 (letter envelope) photos to you just one stamp unless you are sending more than two pictures to sign.

- SASE returning 5x7 (5 1/2x7 1/2 envelope) photos put two stamps unless you are only sending one 5x7, then one stamp should be enough

- SASE returning 8x10 or 8-1/2x11 I always include 4 stamps. I've tried getting by with three. Even though three will sometimes get it there, sometimes on the SASE it won't get it back. WHY? I don't know. It's less stuff coming back so why shouldn't it come back at the same if not less price than what it took to get there. Anyways I've had some celebrities like Robert Devall who will would put the extra stamp on there. However it's not worth it.

- If you are in the US & anything outside the US you need to try to slip some cash in for them to return it to you. I usually include $1 for 4x6 & $2 for 5x7. I would not send anything bigger thean 5x7 unless you REALLY like the actor/actress/singer/ect.
