Do you think celebrities read our letters?

I think that people like Ian Somerhalder who is amazing with his fans, i think he does but i think people like Channing Tatum and other A-lister don't read the letters and they just get a list of the names and personalize them

(Channing Tatum is a bad example because i think his autographs are SEC)

Polls never work on this website {down} But i really dont care if they do or not as long as i get a signature lol. Obviously I'd perfer they read them cuz i spent some time handwriting each one, but as long as i get the signature back then I'm happy

I think it depends on the person. I tend to write to people who aren't very famous, and they've written back to me saying they really liked my letter. :D

That's a really interesting question, and even if it's sent to someone's home address it's probably not possible to even generalise accurately, although even among big stars there are some completely heroic signers who clearly do read their letters (Martin Sheen springs immediately to mind).

I was once surprised when a very famous actress (about as high up the A list in Britain as it's possible to get without moving to Hollywood) wrote a lovely letter back almost as long as the one I've written reminiscing fondly about the film I'd written to praise, and I hadn't realistically been expecting a response at all.

The only person I know for a fact that read me letter was Nikki Reed. I know this because she wrote me a note on my photo that said "Keep crushing on me"

I think some do and so don't. The ones who think they are 'too big' for the fans could care less and send out PP. If you write a personal letter tailored to the star i.e. mention how he/she was good in a film and wish them best of luck in their next project etc then you are most likely to get a response.

There should be another option: "some do and some don't." I wrote to voice actor Maurice LaMarche and mentioned a quote from one of his characters that's become a running gag around our house, and I was delighted to see he had inscribed the line on one of the pictures I sent. Clearly, he must have read that letter. I've received handwritten notes/letters back from some actors/actresses, so that's obviously a dead giveaway.

I have a feeling most celebs who sign for fans probably have someone who goes through their mail for them and sorts what is to be signed and who to.
