I'm looking to buy some £1.10 stamps and the only place selling is Royal Mail's official website. Can Americans purchase british stamps off the site?

You would be better buying Large Letter 1st class (75p) and ordinary letter 2nd class (36p) stamps. The price of stamps rises in the UK in April every year, but even though putting one of each on your envelopes will cost one penny more, they will hold their value like American Forever Stamps. In the UK, if letters don't have enough postage on and have no return address they are destroyed, so that penny will be a very cheap form of insurance for you.

I didn't know they let you now! When I tried like a year ago they wouldn't let me buy stamps because I'm in the US. Good to know!

Really? I purchased them just fine last year. Either way, you can purchase them now.. shipping is killer, but at least it's a legit and reliable source.
