Will 3 us forever stamps be enough

Hi guys i know i posted this else where but i had no idea where to post it.
i have basically have a envelope and 1 photo to get back to me if the actor replies. will 3 us forever stamps be enough to get back to me, im from the UK
would be great to hear opinions

Yes, three will be just right for getting back to you. it costs me .98 cents to mail out to the UK from the USA.
I'm assuming your sending a smaller photo? or is it larger?

Yes if it is a C5 envelope or smaller. I use 0.98C stamps on my SASEs and have had many successes from the US back to the UK! For a C4 envelope which can hold a 8x10 photo I use 2 0.98C stamps so you might need to use atleast 5 0.44 stamps!

Don't worry, If there is a problem with postage you will just have to add a little when it comes back before you receive it at the post office. It has happened to me before!

oh so if there is not enough it will get bk to the uk. but basically have to pay for the additional postage it took?

Yes it should! Well that's what happens with me anyway. Once I even got a response back that had no postage on it at all and the postman just gave it to me!

I answered this on the Collecting Help forum before you posted this one, but never mind...
The consensus on here seems to be that C5 envelopes count as small envelopes coming from the US to the UK, but it is as well to be aware that they are actually slightly over the size limit. Most seem to get through without any trouble, so if you're happy to risk it being picked up on a spot check then that's your call. I prefer to give my mail the best possible chance of coming back to me, so either use smaller envelopes or pay the correct amount.
From what I've read about international postage from the US there is no reciprocal arrangement with other territories to collect underpaid postage in another country. Dan, I'd like to know how it worked when it happened to you - from the US postage site I got the impression that wasn't possible? We've had over-zealous postmen waking us up to sign for letters sent in recycled envelopes where the recorded delivery labels were stickered over for re-use, with just a little bit still showing.
Whenever I've sent letters to the US with insufficient postage they've come back with a label saying they can't leave the country without extra added, so it certainly doesn't work the other way around.
