Do you send a thank-you note?

I've been doing this for a couple of years. Whenever I get a response from a celebrity/actor, I usually send them a thank-you note promptly to let them know I got it and appreciate it.
Does anyone else do this?

I personally don't, no. But there have been occasions where I have thought about after getting some really nice successes.

I will send a thank you note just to let them know I appreciated the autograph and for taking their time. So many celebrities don't or won't sign, so I think it is just a nice thing to do.

I used to then I realised that if all their fans did it, it would double their fan mail!
Time is hard enough to come by and getting many more letters could make the person stop responding. I'm sure a thank you note would be appreciated but sending the original letter lets them know how much we like their work and are a fan of theirs.

I agree with the above so I usually don't. I did every once in a while send a birthday or holiday card to a celeb I really, really admire with a short thank you note for recieving an extra nice reply.
