No SASE Required

Hello,
I am new to this hobby and I was wondering if you know any celebrities who don't require you to send a SASE. I'm young and have learned that sending letters to your favorite stars can be quite expensive. So; who doesn't require SASEs? Thanks!

Well if you can't afford to spend an extra .44 or .88 cents depending on how big of photos your sending out, then maybe this hobby isn't for you. It's always a nice gesture to send a properly addressed SASE and also items or them to sign. Most celebs find it rude if you don't send one and sometimes will not pay to send you a signed photo. If you do your research on addresses, you can lower your RTS rate quite considerably. I've got over 200 requests out and haven't gotten any RTS's for quite a while.
and it's not really expensive to send out, a regular request only costs me around $3.00 total and that includes stamps, paper, SASE & photos.

I understand where you are coming from. I eventually will start sending out more SASE's and pictures; but for right now I'm only going to send them to people who I really want... until I get a job. I am only 13 so I still have time but it is easier for me (right now) to send to those who don't require a SASE.
Also where do you get pictures that cost .44 or .88 cents because at the places where I get the pictures it cost like $3 to get a 8x10. Like I use kodakgallery.com , cvs, etc.

Ryan ment that shipping only costs .44 or .88 cents, that's not the price of the photos. Since you're new and on a tight budget, you should really only send out 4x6 and 5x7 photos.
Personally, I've found walmart usually has the cheapest prices for photos (unless walgreens or cvs is having some sort of sale). Walmart sells 4x6 photos for $0.09 and 5x7 for $0.58. If you send out 4x6 photos, the SASE should be a normal smaller envelope and you'd only need 1 stamp on it ($0.44). If you send out a 5x7, use a 6x9 envelope for the SASE which costs 0.64 to ship (use a 0.64 stamp or 2 forever stamps).
I know you're asking about who doesn't require an SASE, but I'm not really sure cuz i always include an SASE. But there's a little advice for you to help you save a little money on you're future requests when you use an SASE.
One last thing, if you REALLY can't afford the SASE, atleast include a self addressed envelope with out the postage. Don't bother even sending a request out if you aren't going to include an SAE.

Sorry, didn't see your question last night! Photos for me actually cost around .19 cents each. I get 4x6's from Wal-mart.

I don't print 8x10's because like you said, they cost around $3.00 each and I prefer the smaller photos to the large ones when sending those out. It only costs me like $3.00 total for a whole request which includes, Letter, SASE and at least 4 items.
