Not sure if the signature is silver sharpie or paint pen but I would like to know if its possible to remove from an official leather NFL football without ruining it. I bought some JaMarcus Russell signed "Duke" footballs for $30 (normally sell for $80 for the ball) but dont want the Russell autograph on there. I have cleaned glossy photos off many times but never on anything leather.

Any help is appreciated.

If it's silver sharpie, paint thinner should take it right off. i had a black leather suitcase that was signed in silver and after using paint thinner it simply wiped right off. just use a bit, it's pretty strong stuff.
